rendered was given for 256 acres of land belonging to the Estate of M. & C. MALLOW Dec. which was upon
the report of the Commissioners of partitioned among the heirs ordered by the
court to be Sold and in obedience to said ordered was Sold and this noted taken
with personal Security & mortgage and afterward Sued on Judgt.
In Dist. Crt. Foreclosing Vendors lien and on first
Tuesday in July 1873 was sold by the sheriff of Collin Count to Satisf. Said Judgt. And your
Reporter being the parties Defts. to be insolvent and
in the discharge of his duty to the heirs of said Estate bid therefore the sum of
$3879.50 and the Same was knocked off to him which he now hold (sic) as the
property of the estate the remainder of the Judgt. He
collected in money heretofore charged.

P. LEWIS departed this life at the residence of this applicant in the said
County of Collin and State of Texas on the 19th day of May 1874,
intestate seized and possessed of a small amount of Property to wit: Two head
of horses, Two pistoles Known as six shooters, one
Derringers Pistole, one Saddle and bridle, all of the
probable value of one hundred and fifty dollars. Applicant further represents
that deceased had no relatives in this County and that he was justly indebted
to applicant in the sum of fifty five dollars due for nursing in last Sickness,
burial expenses &c. that deceased was a transient man and had no permanent
domicile, he therefore prays that letters of administration be granted to him
upon said estate.

payment of my just debts that whatever of my effects in debts due or otherwise
to be appropriated equally between all of my children after my death, I further
more devise and appoint JOHN COX of
County and State above mentioned my Executor to this my last Will and Testament
and devise him to act as guardian to my minor children.

Dec. 1874 in the District Court of Collin County Texas there was ordered a
Judgment in for (favor?) of the plffs. in the case in
said Court then pending entitled THOS.
H. EMERSON & BRO. vs. S. C.
ANDERSON Et. Al for the sum of $574.24 with interest at 2 per ct. per month
until paid and cost of court. That said estate of H. O. HEDGECOXE represented by your petition as administrator’s a
party defendant in said suit and Judgment that said Judgment ordered a
foreclosure of the vendor’s lien in behalf of the plaintiff therein upon the
property herein after described that the interest of said ANDERSON in said property was sold under an order of sale by the
Sheriff in June 1870 for $300 and afterwards to wit on 1st Tuesday
in May 1876 the interest of the Estate of said HEDGECOXE in said property the same being an undivided part was
after due advertisement sold at public outcry at the Door of the Court House in
McKinney and THOS. H. EMERSON & BRO.
plaintiffs being the highest and best bidders became the purchasers thereof for
$325.00 said property is situated in the City of McKinney Collin County Texas
