1880 Collin County, Texas Census
The 1880 Census asked for the following information:
1. Name of every person whose usual place of abode on the first day of June 1880, was in this family
2. Color-White, Black, Mulatto, Chinese, Indian
3. Sex-Male, Female
4. Age at last birthday prior to June 1, 1880, if under one year, give months in fractions, thus 2 ½
5. If born with the Census year, give months
6. Relationship to each person to head of this family-whether wife, son, daughter, servant, boarder, or other
7. Civil condition-single, married, widowed, divorced
8. Married during Census year
9. Occupation-profession, Occupation or Trade of each person, male & female
10. Number of months the person has been unemployed during the Census year
11. Is the person sick or temporarily disabled, so as to be unable to attend to ordinary business or duties? Is so, what is the sickness or disability?
12. Blind
13. Deaf and dumb
14. Idiotic
15. Insane
16. Married, crippled, bedridden, or otherwise disabled
17. Attended school within the year
18. Cannot read
19. Cannot write
20. Place of Birth of this Person, naming the State or Territory of U. S.; or the Country if of foreign birth
21. Place of Birth of the Father of this Person, naming the State or Territory of U. S.; or the Country if of foreign birth
22. Place of Birth of the Mother of this Person, naming the State of Territory of U. S.; or the Country if of foreign birth
