being in Sound mind and memory do make this disposition of my personal property
(to wit) First my funeral expenses after my death be paid out of my money.
Secondly that all my Stock consisting of my horses four head my Cattle Some 14
head of hogs I give to JAMES HAILE
and JERRY HAILE my stepsons at the
same time binding them to support myself and wife during our natural lives. The
remainder of my estate which will consist of money or land is to be equally
divided between my own children in Indiana. My Wagon harness and farming Tools
I give to my stepsons JAMES HAILE
& JERRY HAILE. I hereby make
constitute & appoint JAMES D. NAYLOR
my executor to this my last will & testament to carry out this will as
above specified done in my proper and sound mind this day and day & above

lawful notice thereof given as appears to the Satisfaction of the Court in due
time JAMES D. NAYLOR executor of the
last will and testament of JOSHUA KNOY
deceased and produced therein for probate—the said last will & testament
and one of the subscribing witnesses thereto to wit: JAMES R. BRYAN who being duly sworn deposes and says he saw JOSHUA KNOY the Testator sign declare
and publish the instrument to him now being shown bearing date the 23rd day of September A. D. 1871 as his last will and Testament freely
Voluntarily and of his own accord and without any Compulsion or influence
whatever—that at the time of executing said last will the said testator was of
sound disposing mind and memory and more than twenty-One years of age; that
said witness who signed said will in the presence of the said Testator at his
Special request as a witness and that his signature thereto is genuine. And
