Estate of S. and ANN WALL, Decd.

 

To the Hon. the County Judge of Collin County

 

            The undersigned admr. of the estate of SAMUEL & ANN WALL, Deceased, would beg leave to make the following report to wit. That in conformity to an order made by Honor’s Court at the November Term 1868 proceeded to sell said land to wit.

            Eighty one acres of land out of a 640 acre survey in the name of J. H. Collins and more definitely described in said order. That said land was offered for sale at the door of the Court House in the town of McKinney to the highest bidder on a credit of 12 months. On the first Tuesday in May A. D. 1869 after being duly advertised as the law directed Two hundred & three dollars ($203) being the highest and best bid said tract of land was knocked off to Hosea Parvin at the said sum of Two Hundred & three dollars.

            Your petitioner prays that said sale be confirmed and that deed may be ordered for said premises.

Commissioners Report J. BATTERTON Estate

 

To the Hon. S. Bowlby Judge County Court of Collin County exercising Probate Jurisdiction.

            The undersigned having been appointed at the March Term of your Court Commissioners to make partition and distribution of certain lands specified in the order to us directed between JONAS BATTERSON and the representatives of JAMES BATTERTON decd. to wit: SUSAN MARGARET, ELIZABETH ANN, RICHARD CHRISTOPHER AND JOSEPHINE BRITTEN would beg leave to make the following report. We find said land to be a part of the Headright survey of JOHN BATTERTON decd.

            Situated on the waters of White’s Creek a tributary of East Fork of the Trinity River in Collin County and to contain in the aggregate 400 acres after a careful survey of said lands taking into consideration quality and quantity we proceeded to partition as follows:

            To JONAS BATTERTON we set apart 200 acres of land valued at $690 and bounded as follows: Beginning at a post the N E corner of the headright survey of the Heirs of JOHN BATTERTON dec. Thence West (veriner of Compass set at 9º 30”) fifty chains to a post in prairie on the S b line of an 80 acre tract taken out of the aforesaid headright survey and conveyed to Jacob Alexander by Joseph Britten and wife Thence South 40 chains a post B T elm 15 makd X S 47º E 100 links Thence East at 10 chains the N W corner of a 160 acre tract taken out of the aforesaid headright survey now owned by Richard Britten continuing East in all fifty chains to a post the N E cor thereof and E B line of the aforesaid headright survey Thence North 40 chains to the place of beginning.

            To SUSAN MARGARET, ELIZABETH ANN, RICHARD CHRISTROPHER and JOSEPHINE BRITTEN minor heirs and representatives of JAMES BATTERTON decd. 200 acres valued at $510 and bounded as follows: Beginning at the S E corner of the original survey Thence North 80 chains to a post an inner corner thereof Thence East 20 chains to the N W corner of the 200 acre tract set apart to JONAS BATTERSON Thence South 40 chinas to the S W corner thereof Thence East 10 chains to the N E corner of Richard Britten 160 acres B T elm mkd X N 17’ W 189 links Thence South 40 chains the S W corner thereof and S B line of original survey Thence West 30 chains to the place of beginning.

Estate of JOHN TATE deceased (Inventory)

 

            Valuation of stock and all property belonging to the estate of JOHN TATE Deceased this June 2nd 1869. Homestead one hundred and sixty acres of land lying on Pilot Grove creek which is estimated at 2 dollars per acre making three hundred and twenty dollars. The foresaid place lying the N E. corner of Collin County also one hundred and sixty acres estimated at two dollar per acre which makes three hundred and twenty dollars. Also a summary claim. Improvements supposing to be worth five hundred dollars.

            Twenty two heard (head?) of horses at (30) thirty dollars each making six hundred and sixty dollars. Also one horse (a stallion) at one hundred and fifty dollars. Forty head of stock cattle at four dollars per head amounting to one hundred and sixty dollars also fourteen head of beef cattle at five dollars per head amounting to one hundred and twenty six dollars:- four work oxen at fourty (forty) dollars per pair amounting to eighty dollars thirty head sheep at one dollar and fifty cents per head amounting to fourty (forty) dollars. The wagons (sic), plows and harness and such improvements were included with the simennary (?) place; a buggy at twenty five dollars.

1st Valuation of household and kitchen furniture all included and consolidated and carried out one hundred and seventy five dollars.  2. Valuation of one half of partnership McCormick Keaper Seventy Five Dollars. 3. Valuation of thirteen stands of bees at thirteen dollars. 4. Valuation of property estimated at eighteen dollar ninety in number. 5th Valuation of pork killed three thousand bbs at five cts per bbs  one hundred and sixty dollars. 6th Valuation of corn and oats three hundred bushels seventy five dollars. 7th Valuation of notes on hand one one (sic) thousand dollars. 8th Valuation of gold watch forty dollars. 9th Actual money on hand two hundred dollars in currency and one hundred and sixty dollars specie.
