            The undersigned administrator of the estate of JOHN PEW deceased would represent and show to your honor that in compliance with an order of you Honor’s Court made at the October Term 1867, I proceeded to sell certain lands situated in the County of Lamar in 4 tracts and fully described in said order after advertising the same for sale as by law required did on the first Tuesday in Janurary 1868 offered the same for sale at public ourtcry to the highest bidder at the court House door of the county of Lamar between the hours of 10 A. M. and 4 P. M. on a credit of 12 months and JOHN H. FOWLER bidding for said tracts of land the sum of $283.50 One hundred eighty three 50/100 dollars and that being the highest bid for said land the same was struck off to the said JOHN H. FOWLER for the said sum of $183.50.

 

            It is therefore prayed that said sale may be confirmed by the Court this 27th ay of January 1868.

The State of Texas        Know All Men By These Present: That I, DICKSON M. CRUTCHFIELD,

County of Collin                       of the State and County being of sound mind and cognizant of the uncertainty of life do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and parts of will by me at any time heretofore made. First, I desire that no action shall be had in the probate court in reference to my estate except the probating and registration of this my last will and testament. Second I desire that my body shall be decently intered (interned ) with Masonic Honoring at the burying ground North West of my present homestead and known as the Wears Grave Yard. Third, I bequeath to my wife, MATILDA F. CRUTCHFIELD, all my real and personal estate for her use and benefit as long as she shall remain unmarried and my widow and on her decease or marriage to my child or children by her if any and if none to my heirs, binding her to give my child or children by her a good English education. Fourth I hereby constitute and appoint SILVESTER BOWLBY of Collin County, State of Texas to be my sole executor to carry out the provisions of this my last will and testament and that I furthermore desire and request that he shall not be required to give…
